What if I've never played Dungeons and Dragons?
Thats okay! In fact, for most members, this is their first time experiencing a role playing game. We use a very “rules lite” role playing game that is easy to learn for newcommers, but feels enough like Dungeons and Dragons to satisfy seasoned RPG fans.
What is a table-top roleplaying game
Tabletop roleplaying game, sometimes called TTRPGs, are a cooperative game where players create a character and work together to achieve a common goal. The game is led by a game-master (GM) who creates the story and situations that the players will encounter. The game is often played with a special set of dice. Dice can be provided for those who don’t have their own.
What kind of things can this group be used to treat?
While research in this type of therapy is still developing, there has been very promising result with this type of group being an effective treatment for a wide array of disorders. Some examples include anxiety, social anxiety, depression, life skills development, PTSD, and more! Feel free to reach out if you have questions about weather you would be a good fit for this group, but I find that this group can be highly versital and individualized.
Are groups in person or virtual?
I run both in person and virtual groups.
What are the requirements for virtual groups?
Virtual group require access to a PC or laptop with a screen size of at least 1366×768 and a high speed internet connection. You cannot join a virtual group using a phone or tablet.
What age range or demographic are groups for?
I currently only offer group for ages 13-18. However, I am currently building interest for an adult group. I encourage you to complete the sign up form linked above even if you are 19+ and I will reach out to you as soon as I have enough interest.
Do you accept insurance?
